Representative Muradian Supports Repeal of 1989 License Suspension Law

January 7th 2016 BOSTON  State Representative David K. Muradian, Jr. (R-Grafton), joined his colleagues yesterday in unanimous support of repealing a 1989 law requiring individuals to forfeit their drivers license for five years for certain drug-related offenses.  The 1989 law is viewed by many as an obstruction to individuals convicted of minor drug crimes who try to secure employment or treatment following their release from prison.

Representative Muradian Joins House Colleagues To Approve Stolen Valor Act, Bills to Protect Veterans’ Grave Markers

November 5th 2015 BOSTON – Representative David K. Muradian, Jr. (R-Grafton) joined his colleagues in the House of Representatives yesterday to unanimously approve a statewide “Stolen Valor Act” designed to prosecute individuals who falsely claim military service credentials for personal financial gain. The House also passed legislation prohibiting the unauthorized sale of veterans’ grave markers, requiring vandals to pay restitution for damaging or removing a gravestone, as well as a bill to provide free access to the state’s parks and reservations for Purple Heart recipients.
