May 15th 2018 BOSTON – Representative David K. Muradian, Jr. (R-Grafton) was recently nominated to the annual Emerging Leaders Program by House Minority Leader Bradley H. Jones, Jr. (R-North Reading).
“I was honored to have been nominated to the 14th annual Emerging Leaders Program,” said Representative Muradian. “This program not only offers amazing skills that can positively impact the way I legislate, but also provide me with an opportunity to make connections with legislators throughout the country.”
The State Legislative Leaders Foundation and the University of Virginia Darden School of Business have joined this year to offer 1st and 2nd term legislators an informative and exciting program to emerging political leaders. The program itself is intended to enhance the potential of legislators who are just beginning their careers. Participants can expect to partake in presentations, debates and create lasting connections from all 50 states. They themselves will be involved in an active process that can positively develop the way they lead their districts.
During the program, participants can expect to discuss a wide range of topics. Some of which include:
- Leadership in a Changing World
- Group Dynamics and Leadership
- Ethics and Values
- A Current Perspective on Political Leadership
- Positive Steps to Make a Difference
Representative Muradian submitted his application prior to the deadline and discussed exactly why he was deserving of acceptance into the program. He not only mentioned his successes as a 2nd term legislator, but also how his time as an Aide to former Representative George Peterson, has made a positive impact on his current role as State Representative of the 9th Worcester District.
