April 8th 2019 BOSTON – State Representative David K. Muradian, Jr. (R-Grafton) was excited to welcome Grafton constituents, David and Diane Libby, to the State House on Monday, March 25th.
Representative Muradian treated the constituents to a tour of the building, including stops in Doric Hall, Nurses Hall, and a rare trip to the Balcony overlooking Boston Common. They also had the opportunity to visit the House Chamber and sit in on informal session where Representative Muradian told them about the history of the Chamber as well as the building itself.
“As always, it was wonderful to welcome such kind, caring, and eager constituents to the State House,” said Representative Muradian. “The State House is a living, breathing museum and it was a pleasure sharing the building’s history and my day-to-day activities with Mr. and Mrs. Libbey.”
“Representative Muradian's appreciation for the history, traditions and operations of the State House was impressive, very educational and great fun,” said Mr. Libbey. “Touring the building for several hours with David and a very knowledgeable guide was an opportunity to see the history of our state through the lens of the architecture and art of the State House. Lunch at a nearby restaurant included great food and the chance to talk about legislative priorities. We greatly appreciated David's generous hospitality and the time he spent with us.”
Following the tour, Representative Muradian treated David and Diane to a lunch in the city where the trio shared great conversation. Representative Muradian eagerly answered any questions the couple had regarding his position and the State House as a whole.
