July 20th BOSTON – Representative David K. Muradian, Jr. (R-Grafton) was excited to welcome members of the Northbridge Council on Aging (COA) and the Senior Center to the State House in Boston today.
The group of 18 seniors from the COA, accompanied by Jeannine Dionne, the Assistant Director, was treated to a tour of the building which included a trip to the Senate Chamber and Senate Reading Room, the Governor’s Office, the Office of the Speaker of the House and the Great Hall. The group was also allowed to sit in on an informal session in the House of Representatives Chamber. Representative Muradian also provided lunch as well as a question and answer session.
“It was wonderful to have such a great group of seniors from Northbridge come in to the State House today,” stated Rep. Muradian. “They were enthusiastic and very interested in the legislative process and asked a lot of questions-which I was happy to answer. It was great to be able to take them behind the scenes and into some places in the building that not very many people get to see.”
